The Annual Summer Gala supports the mission of East End Hospice and Camp Good Grief, a bereavement day camp for children who have experienced the loss of a parent or loved one. The evening will feature cocktails and hors d’oeuvres on the lawn overlooking Shinnecock Bay and dinner, dancing, casino games and a silent auction under the main tent.

Every summer since 1997, East End Hospice has provided a 5-day bereavement camp for children ages 4 to 17 who are struggling with the loss of a parent, sibling, or other close relative.

At Camp Good Grief, children are helped to share painful feelings and have fun at the same time and learn the most important lesson of all: they are not alone in their grief.

East End Hospice provides this camp to children and grieving families completely free of charge. However, it costs over $1,000 for a child to come to Camp for the week. This summer, over 150 children will attend Camp Good Grief.
