On Tuesday, August 19th, at 7:00 PM, Dr. David Helfand, president of Quest University Canada from 2008 to 2015, former Chair of the Department of Astronomy at Columbia University and Co-Director of the Columbia Astrophysics Laboratory, and currently Chair of the American Institute of Physics, will be IN-PERSON at the East Hampton Library to speak about the subject of his latest book, “The Universal Timekeepers:
Reconstructing History Atom by Atom,” which demonstrates the power of science to unveil the mysteries of remote times and places that were
thought to be unreachable. After the talk, Dr. Helfand will sign copies of his book, which will be available for purchase. Seating is limited.
