Southampton, New York: Heart of the Hamptons invites you to take the plunge to end hunger on Thursday, August 11th at the famed Coopers Beach in Southampton Village.
Guests will be delighted with a fun beach party and plunge (optional) under the full moon all to support Heart of the Hamptons year-round Food Pantry and Assistance Program. HOH provides $1million dollars in food support annually to the Hamptons community and serves over 1,400 local families.
Their annual Polar Bear Plunge is one of the most highly anticipated events of the year and this is Heart of the Hamptons’ first ever summer event. All proceeds will go directly to supporting the growing needs of families in our community. It has been an incredibly challenging time for many. The cost of living is extraordinarily high, and rising inflation has put an additional strain on our neighbors. Every attendee, plunger, and sponsor will support Heart of the Hamptons’ programs, which include groceries, clothing, and assistance to over 4,600 individuals, including children, families, seniors, and veterans.
On Thursday, August 11th this community effort will include farm fresh food, drinks, DJ, bonfire, and a plunge under the full moon. Plunge optional.
Your support will provide meals for kids when school is out of session, send food to a homebound or isolated senior, meet the needs of local students, install a wheelchair ramp for a handicapped person, or make difficult times just a little bit easier for those dealing with cancer or another unexpected setback.
All attendees are required to register in advance whether they plan to plunge or not. Those who are interested in taking the plunge can sign up and collect pledges of support from sponsors (friends, family, co-workers, etc.).
