October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and the Bridgehampton Child Care and Recreational Center, one of the Ellen Hermanson Foundation Community Partners, is hosting a breast cancer walk on Saturday, October 12th.

The Ellen Hermanson Community Partnerships represent medically underserved populations. Each member organization – Bridgehampton Childcare and Community Center, OLA (Organizacion Latino Americana), The Retreat and the Shinnecock Health Clinic–receives grants from the Ellen Hermanson Foundation to provide educational outreach about the importance of early detection, and access to free mammography and treatment for its constituents.

Bridgehampton Child Care and Recreational Center is a non-profit organization primarily serving the African American, Hispanic, and growing immigrant populations in Bridgehampton and surrounding communities. The Center delivers quality education and recreational programs to local children, youth and their families.
