Flow Hamptons, August 16
By Flo Anthony–
A downpour threatened Southampton on August 4. That didn’t stop Brooke Shields and her daughter, Grier Henchy, 17, from competing in Audrey Gruss’ Walk of Hope and 5 K Run to Defeat Depression around Lake Agawam. Among the 1,000 in attendance were a slew of teen competitors and the grand marshal Stacey Griffith, the founding instructor of Soul Cycle and herself an inspiration to those suffering from depression.
The event raised $500,00 for the Hope for Depression Research Foundation.

Among  the billionaires who participated were the composer Karen LeFrak and her real estate mogul husband, Richard LeFrak; John Paulson and his fiancée, Alina de Almeida, who is expecting their first child; the socialites Jamee and Peter Gregory, and Social Life magazine’s editor-in-chief, Devorah Rose.
There were babies in carriages and dogs on leashes. In recognition of the event Southampton businesses like Ralph Lauren, Paul Stuart and Veronica Beard were decked out in yellow, the cheerful shade of the organization…

Amy and Gary Green paid, I hear, $200,000 to put on a show for guests at their Footprint of Life Gala. That’s what it took to get Ludacris, a three-time Grammy-award winner to perform at their affair, which was held at their estate in Bridgehampton on August 15. The glamorous event, called “50 Shades of Blue,” benefitted their Green Vision Foundation. Also on stage, Kate Simko and the London Electronic Orchestra.
With money raised from this, the Greens’ second gala, their foundation backs Tusk, a conservation program in Africa, and Planetary Guardians. Guests were treated to curated drinks and small bites as well as talks on conservation and new programs being funded.
