I love being the owner of easthampton.com because it gives me access to data and I can see that our community loves and cares for our animals. Last Saturday, The Southampton Animal Shelter Foundation (SASF) which is outstanding for it no animal is left behind, policy hosted its Ninth Annual Unconditional Love Gala on July 21st. at the magnificient estate of Sandra McConnell.
Undeterred by the imminent rain guests were welcomed by gregarious Event Chair Gregory D’Elia and Honorary Chairman Jean Shafiroff. Jean and Martin Shafiroff who are known for their love of animals brought 10 guests some of whom were staying in her house including Ava Roosevelt, Matt Rich, Sequin owner Kim Renk and her husband Greg Dryer. Other notable guests included Margo and John Catsimatidis, Greg Kelly and State Assembly woman Rebecca Seawright. D’Elia who emceed the event kept the evening moving, fun and the money coming in. I could hear caching!
Several of the adoptable pooches mingled with animal lovers such as Southampton Town Supervisor Jay Schneiderman, Sonny Schottland, and Alex Douzet and Andrea Greeven Douzet.
If anyone you know is in need the Southampton Animal Shelter is a great resource for our community. They have adoptable pets but they think outside of the box so even dogs who are not suitable for home adoptions find useful lives.
Southampton Animal Shelter is located at 102 Old Riverhead Road in Hampton Bays.
