By Katlean de Monchy —
Jean and Martin Shafiroff entertained nearly 150 people at their exquisite home in Southampton, NY, to celebrate the launch of the fundraising season for the Southampton Hospital Foundation (SHF).

That will give people in need of emergency obstetric care, problems with their hearts, critical injuries, pediatric crises and so on a centralized hospital facility with labs, treatment rooms, imaging facilities with MRI and CT scans. cardiac monitoring and specialized gynecological care.
Right now, anyone from Montauk to Sag Harbor has had to make the drive to the excellent Southampton Hospital to get treatment, or call an ambulance or rescue squad. The new Emergency Medical Center in East Hampton is a vital expansion of care from Southampton Hospital.
So these philanthropists, socialites, medical leaders and friends joined Jean, who is a trustee for SHF, and Martin for delicious canapés and cocktails, and music by Alex Donner to mark the beginning of the fund-raising season.
