This fun class will show you how to take an amusing idea and put it on paper—beginning with a rough pencil sketch to finishing an inked professional-looking work of humorous art. Drawing expressions, communicating mood and emotion, creating characters, developing and finding your own style, as well as basic perspective, cross hatching and ink wash techniques will all be taught. If you’re a doodler with a funny bone, and want to take it up a notch, an aspiring art student, or a drawer that may be not have picked up a pen in a while. this class is for you.
Peter Spacek has been an humorous illustrator for 35 years, having worked for most major newspapers, magazines, ad agencies, and publishers. He is locally known for his weekly cartoon in The East Hampton Star and for his beach culture greeting cards, prints and designs by Ditch Ink.
